Jags Steak and Seafood,"Where Chicago Turf meets Boston Surf" opened the doors to the public January 2003 being Union Centre's first fine dining steak & seafood restaurant and venue with live entertainment. Much thanks goes to the continued support and loyalty from all of our guests, neighbors and investors for our continued success.

John Allgaier, the visonary and mastermind behind the idea, design and the name itself is very grateful for those that believed in his concept and helped to make his dream a reality.

The name Jag's originated due to Mr. Allgaier's love for the Jaguar car... sleek, classy and appealing to the senses, which he also sported in years past. What is ironic about the name choice is that if Jag's were an acronym it would stand for John Allgaier's Great Steaks. However, once this was brought to Mr. Allgaier's attention he would not accept the recognition, although notably suitable. This type of modesty, we believe, has a major reflection on the professionalism, dedication and demeanor of the staff and the welcoming feel you receive when entering into the restaurant; always comfortable, relaxed and never over zealous!
