Matt is a veteran in the culinary world landing his first kitchen job at the age of 17. Years later, after exploring different paths, he discovered this was his calling and worked wherever he could be challenged and learn something new.

Matt first became part of the Jag’s family as a prep cook in 2005, after leaving his job as Chef de Cuisine of a small restaurant in his home town of Oxford, OH.

In 2010, Matt joined the Boca Restaurant group in hopes of furthering his knowledge. During this time, he worked from line cook to sous chef. Opened the new downtown locations of both Sotto and Boca in 2013. Staying on at Boca, Matt once again worked his way up to Chef de Cuisine.

It wasn’t until the spring of 2016, that Chef Michelle presented him with a opportunity to return to the Jag’s family. An opportunity in which he could utilize his love of food, passion for wine, and relentless pursuit knowledge.
